EST. 2020 · BORN IN A WAREHOUSE

Inventory software for the industries big software forgot.

BSimple runs stock, orders and invoicing for packaging businesses, coffee roasters and everyone else the enterprise giants decided were "too niche". Australian-made, Xero-integrated, allergic to double-handling.

what it does

The paperwork, handled

01Inventory that tells the truth

One source of truth for stock across every order, location and team. The spreadsheet stops being the system of record and goes back to being a spreadsheet.

02Orders without the chase

From the first customer order to the final invoice, in one flow. No re-keying, no "which version is current", no end-of-month archaeology.

03Xero integration

Invoices and payments flow straight through to the books. Your accountant hears the good news before you can even tell them.

04Automation that kills data entry

The repetitive stuff — order processing, stock updates, documents — just happens. Your team does the parts that actually need a human.

05Built for niche industries

Roasteries, packaging, trades — workflows the big ERP packages shrug at. If your industry runs on spreadsheets, that's our specialty.

06"Slices", not shared mess

Every customer gets a fully isolated system we can spin up in minutes. Better security, lower support overhead, lower prices for everyone.

the accidental startup

In 2016 I bought a local packaging business. I thought I was getting into boxes and tape. Very quickly I learned I was actually in the administration business — and the admin was winning. Manual data entry, order processing, stock management: the single biggest drag on the whole company.

Having already built systems for Simple Telecom, I did what came naturally: I tinkered. I built a software platform purely for our own packaging team — automated our specific workflow, killed our specific headaches. It was never meant to be a product. It was an internal tool with no marketing budget and no launch plan.

Then a customer — a local coffee roaster — caught a glimpse of it and said, in effect: "I have the exact same problems in my roastery. Build me one." We built his version on a shoestring. As soon as it was live, three more roasters asked for the same thing.

That was the lightbulb moment. This problem wasn't unique to my warehouse. Small businesses everywhere — especially in niche industries like roasting — were stuck in the gap: enterprise software far too expensive and rigid, spreadsheets increasingly chaotic. A huge gap right in the middle, with my name on it.

There was one catch: the system wasn't built to scale. So I paused sales and re-engineered the whole platform around secure, isolated "slices" — a fully separated system per customer, spun up in minutes. Less support overhead, better security, lower cost for everyone.

We launched the rebuilt product as BSimple in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic. Seemed like a terrible time to launch a business. The need said otherwise, and the need was right.

Same DNA as everything else I build: take the admin businesses have to do, and make it simple, accessible and affordable.

Your inventory called. It wants BSimple.

If your operation still runs on spreadsheets and memory, that's not a personality trait — it's a software gap. We close it.
